3.9.4 Apply New Key

Apply your new license key

Once you have received a new license key for your subscription, it’s time to distribute it to your users so they can use it.

NOTE: Please keep your license in a safe place and don’t distribute it to 3rd parties.

The users (usually devs) will need to follow a process that might differ based on your choice of Subscription Storage Mechanism of your organisation, if using our sample based on blob storage and environment variables, they’ll need update their environment variable with the new key.

They’ll also need to update the license key in build pipelines where the license key is needed (all pipelines where there is a test step using FakeXrmEasy).

They might also need to reboot / restart their PCs in order for the changes to take effect.
